well- this sad news of the girl being murdered and raped in tracy , california motivated me today to leave ap news releases of the wt child abuse out of court settlements of 16 jw victims in car windshields today of jw's who had gone out in field service.

for what it's worth i went to 3 different kingdom halls in 2 towns.

left about 8 on different cars at one kingdom hall, and 5 at another and 7 at another.. you just never know what may happen.

by the same token, couldn't any religion use the same argument to excuse their flaws and atrocities?

they are, after all, run by "imperfect" men as well.

i guess that means they're actually inspired of god too, but simply run by imperfect men who make mistakes..

My retort to that statement is that if it's run by imperfect men, why do they require total unquestioning obedience under the threat opf DFing if you dare to disagree with the "imperfect men"..

isn't there a verse about not trusting in men in the Bible?

not blood, shunning, corruption, failed prophecy, bunked chronology, the internet or u.n type scandals.. the biggest issue/threat the watchtower faces is authority.. hold up any other issue before a true jw and the shutters come down.

currently they teach the planet itself, as a mass, possibly existed for millions and millions of years, thus agreeing with science findings about the age of the earth.

did wt really believe that everyone prior to jesus death is resting and awaiting only a earthly hope?

and then when jesus died, everyone following him only had a heavenly hope until 1934-35....and then nearly all only had an earthly hope again?

of course recently they did open up heaven again, so now there are both "callings" taking place, both heaven and earth on sale at the same time......sooooo.
